2024-10-13T00:00:00I only get the original since it’s the best quality water filter and The only one that significantly slows down the water pressure and that’s how you know it actually filters the water. Also, flavor wise, this one is better than the fake ones. It’s a little heavy but you don’t really feel it besides when changing the filter. Very easy to install, just twist the top of the PUR filter house and change the filter inside. Lasts for 2 months for me, but we also use quite a lot of water in the house hold. The house comes in various colors so you can choose one that fits your style. Fits in place and doesn’t leak.

2024-12-16T00:00:00This is a great product, it attaches right to the faucet and makes a huge difference in taste - it definitely removes a lot of the icky elements you don’t want in your water. Install can be a little tricky, but getting the vertical hub instead of the horizontal one makes it easier to install and reduces leakage. Water pressure when the filter lever is on is a steady stream that is not too weak or strong. I gave it only 4 stars because each filter doesn’t last as long as it says it should. I do use it for all my water needs and I drink close to 100oz a day, so the filter only lasts about six weeks; however, I’d like to note that I also use filtered water for my nespresso maker, when making soup, teas, etc. So I’m constantly filtering water.

2024-11-13T00:00:00The PUR filter has improved the taste of our water tremendously. We have really enjoyed the great taste of the water and our coffee and tea pots have also enjoyed the lack of minerals. While we get about 6 weeks from a filter before it is time to change it, it is a fairly consistent time range. The flashing indicator of use of the filter is a great indication, although the flow slowing down works too. We don't use the filter for cooking water since we eat pasta frequently and that seems to be a waste.

So if you had sediment or other things in your water at higher levels, they will go bad faster. Clean water last longer. So yes, up to three months if you have already really clean water. As far as the function of the filter, they work fine. I've had one bad filter in several years of buying these.
