2024-12-24T00:00:00I saw this at a friend‘s house and immediately loved it. The food trap is made of silicone and is so easy to clean. All you do is push it inside out and all the debris immediately washes off. Additionally, it looks great when it’s sitting in the sink as the aluminum casing fits perfectly around the pre-existing drain. It’s a terrific value for the money.

Pretty sturdy. It is very good quality, better than I expected. It’s think, and not too heavy. The metal is not getting rust yet. Looks like the color is holding up. It’s super convenient to grip the silicone stick and lift the whole strainer up. Definitely worth the money. The product is amazing. Beyond happy! -

2023-12-03T00:00:00Catches most bits of food, but not slippery & thin noodles (like ramen) -- thin noodles will slip right through holes. On the other hand, even bits of egg shell (I think b/c they are not slippery), are "caught" by the silicone and don't immediately go through the holes. This gives you time to lift & tap in the garbage and, then, replace strainer. Yes, it's that easy to clean -- 99 percent of time I tap and everything comes out. Infrequently, I need to wipe with a paper towel. The review rubric asked me to rate the suction power and I have never noticed any suction power -- it just sits in the drain and that seems to work well. This strainer does NOT work to close the drain and fill the sink with water -- you'd need an all-metal strainer for that, I think. But I find this silicone one has smaller holes and, thus, catches more food than the traditional all-metal sink strainers. I last purchased 3 years ago and one of the two have fallen apart -- silicone came away from metal ring. So, I am reordering. Finally, thank you OXO for your inflation restraint. Only an 11 percent increase in price as compared to 3 years ago -- much better than many products.

2025-01-01T00:00:00If you, like me, are disgusted by food particles in the drain (why should we be, we just ate it!) then these are your answer - they have a rubber center and a plunger-like handle that you pull the whole inside out and get easy access to the junk you want to remove. Plus it seems it cannot rust. They clean up nicely too.

It surrounds the entire area and gives the sink a look of an expensive upgrade. The item is as described. The delivery was earlier than anticipated. It is a wonderful product and beautiful looking in addition to high end construction. Would recommend this product without hesitation.

2020-03-05T00:00:00Really nice quality item. I was surprised at how easy it is to clean and how well it fitted our kitchen sink plug hole. When in place it looks like it's part of the sink. The centre pin makes it a doddle to pick up and turn inside out for cleaning. It makes every other sink strainer we've had look like cheap rubbish, which they were compared to this.
