2024-12-15T00:00:00I couldn't find brown Jeggings, so I bought a tan pair at Walmart. I wanted a lighter brown so a bought tan and brown dye. added the salt and a bit of dawn dish liquid, then used the colorstay and my jeggings came out PERFECTLY, no tie die look, no crazy color bleed. Yes! -

2025-01-03T00:00:00I had an off-white 100% mulberry silk pillow that incurred an orange hair dye stain. I followed the directions with approximate temperature, amount of vinegar, and time, and the results were fantastic! I stirred gently every 3-5 min because I didn't want to damage the silk, and it still came out perfectly even. I then took it out and dyed two other shirts that were cotton (so I just added some salt, left in the vinegar) and they came out great also! I think I could've just kept on dying anything else afterwards with that solution if I had wanted to. Just remove the dyed garment and put in the next one. I have a LOT of clothes I want to dye black, so maybe I'd only need one bottle to do all of them. -

2024-10-03T00:00:00I know this product has been around forever , so I purchased because someone got bleach on my LIGHT purple beautiful shabby chic style towel and was livid ! Anyway I didn’t expect this color dye to be such a dark purple, unfortunately it was way too dark but at least the towel looks better without bleach mark . Not sure if I would purchase same brand of fabric dye again though. 4 stars because it worked , but color wise it was just too dark so I will keep and make DIY borax crystals with it … -

2024-12-19T00:00:00Product arrived sooner than expected. Easy to fallow instructions. Dye came out the perfect shade of blue just like new. After 26 years of use and abuse it was a pale pale light blue. Dye hasn't rubbed off on other items it comes in contact with. -

2024-11-21T00:00:00I noticed the liquid was really dark red. I cleaned the item before dyeing it. I followed the directions and even used less then required since the item was small. The dye made the item a pinkish orange. Coverage was uneven and I couldn’t achieve the light pink color I desired. -

2024-08-07T00:00:00I am attending a wedding this Fall, and was in need of a new dress. I found this great lacey Vince Camuto dress at Nordstrom Rack for a great price - except it only came in Ivory! I bought RIT Dye (the 'normal' version, not the one for 'synthetic' fabrics) in Hyacinth. -

2024-11-11T00:00:00I used this to dye pinecones for use in decorating wreaths. This gave the cones a pale pink tint that couples well with purple and teal. No smell, stands up to rain and weather without running. My daughter used it in tie dying and found it had great functionality, sealed well for great durability of color, and found no stain resistance in the cotton fabric she used. Great value! -

2023-07-26T00:00:00Couldn't find my shade of purple shirt in store, so dyed a white all-cotton shirt the right shade of purple. Only had to use half a bottle of dye to achieve the correct colour. Put it in extremely hot water, then put the shirt in and within a few minutes had it precisely dyed. Was too dark purple at first, but ran some clear water over it to lighten the purple shade. Very happy with the results. Used half a bottle of another rit solution to prevent the dye from running, which was also mixed with extremely hot water. Will use it again in future! -

2022-02-07T00:00:00The colour was finessed as I went along. The longer I simmered the pot the darker it got. Although I had washed the blazer before it still came out a bit splotchy. Not sure I would try it on an expensive piece. -
