2024-06-26T00:00:00We don't have an actual swimming pool, but bought a new 300 gallon Horse tank we bought for a cooling down pool, fits to good size adults just fine, with 3 feet of water. Got a few colored LED lights up, a little Tiki like set up, all done on a very cheap budget. tired of draining every day, even though we are in the country on our own well. Bought this seeing it is just a simple pump with a filter, and we have no pool holes and we did not want to cut into the galvanized tank. With a weight to keep the siphon hose down in the water, which we draped over the rim and goes then into the filter, and a simple cheap "c" clamp for the return draped over the rim of the round tank as well. We then primed the pumpby taking off the lid of pump, filled it with water, filled hoses best we could by dipping in pool, turned it on and works perfectly. Timer works perfectly. ran it 3 times for 4 hours each,pool is crystal clear, very nice. The suction is very good, blows water out with good force. going to make a removable board to affix hoses to, so we can simply slid it in or lift out, it will clip for the rim. When done for season, lean tank up against shed and put pump in shed, all good till next year. Well worth the money, works very good. -

2023-06-19T00:00:00UPDATE: I have run this pump now for almost a week. It seems to be working well. It circulates a lot of water compared to the 300gph pump I had before. It keeps the pool water clear and clean. I checked the filter today and gave it a rinse with the hose, went from dingy to white again, and popped it back in.

2024-08-17T00:00:00Bought this for my grandson's 330 gallon 5x10 inflatable pool. The pool doesn't have the connections for which this filter is intended, but I just drape the hoses over the side and it works just fine. I chlorinate and we haven't had to change the pool water since purchasing it.

2024-03-10T00:00:00I had a situation where my hot tub was over run with gunk and debris and the hot tub filter was just not fixing it. In the winter, draining and filling a couple times was simply not an option. I put this unit beside my tub, put some weights on the hoses to keep them under water and installed a random attachment that comes in the box to keep the suction hose from latching itself to the wall and stopping flow. I turned the timer to max and let it run all day. The hot water In The tub kept it from freezing and I brought it in for the night. I turn on the tub jets to prime the pump then turn it on. After one day, this pump did what the hot tub filter could not do in two weeks and hours of work and filter cleaning. I now use it about once a month for a maintenance clean and as a vacuum for the seats and the floor. Not sure about pool use but this thing is top notch and cheap for hot tub cleaning.
