2024-05-04T00:00:00The interlocking design and many shim sizes allow a perfect setup. The interlock prevents shim damage during installation by keeping the shims aligned. These shim packs match the diameter of the bearing races perfectly. This is important with the Chevy 10 bolt as the support lands are very thin. The shims that came with my rebuild kit were plain flat and under size, resulting in unstable carrier pre-load, and shim damage. If your rebuild kit came with plain flat under size shims, do yourself a favor and buy this kit! You will need a curved installation tool also. -

2024-05-31T00:00:00This sleeve worked great. Used it on a ford 8.8. Just remember it's not a one shot and done deal. You will need extra bearings to shave so they are slip fit. Adjust the shims to the correct torque needed for your pinion. Once you have it set and you have the right lash with pinion and ring gears, you're done. -

2023-10-22T00:00:00This is designed to hold the thinner shims between the thicker ones. The kit also has more thinner shims which are thinner than the Ford Performance kit. After having issues getting my backlash spot on with the Ford kit due to lack of thin shims I ordered this. Measured up the packs with what I had figured out on paper and dropped the carrier in and hit .010 back lash right away.

2024-04-16T00:00:00Installed a Borg Warner LSD into a 1976 Aussie Valiant that had an open centre originally, so the shims were different widths for fitting into the carrier. These fit perfectly and allowed me with a dial indicator to set backlash and bearing preload to perfection.

2024-05-09T00:00:00Made building my axle a breeze. Totally removed the guess and check bs that comes with crush sleeves. Too tight or too loose, just adjust the shims and dial it in. Use some calipers to measure the original crush washer to get close, and adjust shims from there. Only took a couple tries and it works amazing
