I saw a few reviews about not being able to assemble this item properly. I had no trouble at all putting the components together. It took about 3 or 4 minutes total, and was very simple. It does require that the sides and front and back snap onto the bottom. They do not just stay together on their own. But a simple push down on a hard surface, and an audible click can be heard, assuring proper connection. The container has lots of room for all of my grilling tools, my charcoal chimney, and other things. The only complaint I have is with the lid latch. It's very easy to push it down to latch, but there is nothing on the container itself to apply counter-pressure when trying to pry the lid open. However, I found that a quick upward hit to the bottom lip of the lid will open it. Overall, I am very happy with this little outdoor container, and am certain that it will hold up just fine.

I’m using this to hold charcoal. It’s doing a good job in high wind and keeps the charcoal dry.

I thought I put this together right, but the sides were coming apart at the slightest touch, for the small bin. It holds my pool supplies. The instructions on box weren't helpful. But then I read a review that you need to push them until the tabs click. I did this firmer and it worked! And now it seems to be pretty sturdy. Seems like a decent bin.

I have a small mailbox and get a lot of packages from the post office and several other delivery services. Most of the time, the drivers will just toss my packages on my front steps or by my garage. I saw this deck box and wondered if it would be a good idea to use it for packages, especially in bad weather. It was not hard to put together and bigger than I expected. It is very sturdy and a nice chocolate color. I put a sign on it telling delivery companies to put my packages in the box and it's worked great. I know where my packages are and they are kept dry when it is raining. There is plenty of room for several packages and it looks nice. It helps the delivery people to know where to leave my packages. I bought some specific stickers that stand out telling all delivery companies to use the box and it's been great. I wish I would have done this years ago. I am impressed with the sturdiness and quality of this box.

Edited 7/21/24. I downgraded this to 1 star. It will not stay put together. I keep snapping the pieces back together but any time I open it it falls apart. I would definitely not recommend this!

I just purchased this 19.2 gallon Rubbermaid Mini Deck Storage Box (Rubbermaid calls it their "Grill Accessory Box") primarily to store a standard 20 pound propane tank. In addition to the one I have attached to my grill, I want to keep a backup propane tank on-hand, since it's difficult to know when my BBQ tank will run out. Having to run out for a tank exchange is not fun when you have a half-cooked steak on the grill. Rather than just having the backup tank sitting on my patio, I thought it would look much nicer if I kept it inside a storage box, which would also protect it from the weather.

Easy assembly and fits perfectly on my small balcony. Will be perfect for storing the cushions from my patio set for the winter as well as having space for extra plant soil. I bought this when it was on sale for $70 so the price was perfect too.

I bought this box to put out on my apartment balcony to store my outdoor pots and little garden shovels for the winter. It’s very sturdy and the perfect size for what I was looking for. It only took me a few minutes to put it together but I would suggest if you are planning on getting one to have a rubber mallet handy to pop the joints together. I’m very happy with this storage box.

When it comes to deck boxes, doubled-sided Rubbermaid are the best. It loses a star for the price vs. "what it is" balance.

Rubbermaid always makes good products. This comes in 6 pieces and easily (seriously … easily) snaps together. I bought this to be a “parcel box” because the delivery guy in my hamlet is scared of dogs so I have put this against the fence at the front of my driveway so he does not have to dodge my dogs (a Maltese and a Bernese) if they’re outside when he arrives. I shop online often so I’m pleased to have this box knowing my items will be safe from the weather if I’m not home for a while.

Value for money spent is not here. This is all injection molded plastic and I would guess that it's about $5 worth. Even the quality of the molds is poor. The sections that allow the lid to pivot on the top can squish when putting the lid in place, and prevent it from going together properly. The sides just snap into the bottom and I don't suspect that this would last long. I expect far better quality from the brand name "Rubbermaid". Very disappointed and I'll be returning it.
