I was so impressed, I ordered a second for my other car. This is a great item, well made, sturdy but not too heavy. I am sure you can use it in the garden and not just for snow. 2016-01-12T00:00:00It be good! Quite compact when handle in shortest position, but expands into a small, but very usable shovel. Live in Iowa, and surprise! We get snow, sometimes quite a bit. Good to have a shovel of some type along, and this is just the ticket if you get stuck. Ok, I will admit that I've only had the shovel for a couple of weeks, and haven't had the chance to get stuck (nor am I planning on it). But, I went out and messed with it in the snow, and it looks like just the ticket if you need a not-too-big shovel to carry in your car, knowing it might get you unstuck if you get stuck. Appears to be well built, and I don't think it will break like some plastic shovels that have come before. Reasonably heavy aluminum construction, should hold up well for it's intended purpose.

2023-06-22T00:00:00We bought this shovel in winter to use to keep the snow and ice from around our car and it worked perfectly for this use. Now it is summer and we are using this shovel when we go camping and it is good for all of our camping needs as well. The handle is comfortable and fits our hands well. The shovel blade is sturdy and does the job every time. The carrying case keeps the shovel clean and contained in the trunk. I would buy this shovel again and recommend it for an all around emergency shovel to keep in your car.

2015-01-29T00:00:00Generally good for what it is. It's a nice emergency shovel to keep in your car and use for emergencies. It folds up nice and small. I like that it's aluminum rather than plastic (more durable). The pieces also fit reasonable tightly together when it's assembled. Obviously, you wouldn't want to get it to shovel your driveway or sidewalk, too small. But it's decent as a small emergency shovel.

2020-02-09T00:00:00Excellent little snow shovel (Minnesota). I got it for my 2 year-old granddaughter to help mom & dad with the snow removal. I didn't want to get one of those cheap, plastic toy shovels that are pretty useless. I put it together without the center section, making it a reasonable size for her (she's big for her age). I gave the center section to her dad, so he could also use it, either with or without that section. My other son, who is a truck driver, saw it and said it was much better than the plastic ones that he takes on the road with him, and ends up replacing often. It's very strong / sturdy - but light weight, and is easy to put together and take a part. A great shovel for your trunk (or for a growing kid). lv

2020-01-07T00:00:00Working in a ski area that gets an average 46 feet of snow each winter, having a car shovel for utility and avalanche emergency is a requirement. This one fits the bill with a very high cost to value ratio. Just the right size and weight to rapidly fling snow away from the car when 3-4 feet fall during a work shift. More than sturdy enough to use on fresh snow but I haven't used it on an avalanche hardpack yet. Seems like it will do the job though. It's has the holes to be strapped onto a backpack but it's a bit heavy for that by today's backcountry equipment standards. Since I stow it in a car, that isn't a concern for me. In fact the extra weight is a bit of a plus when using it.

2023-03-05T00:00:00We had a huge storm today, about 8 to 10 inches of snow. This little shovel came in very handy and held up well during a lot of shoveling between cars. The only thing I would change about it would be to be able to add another piece to the shovel to make it a bit longer. Very impressed with its ability to get under icy snow.
