2023-11-13T00:00:00I had some men's shorts that were fading badly. So I bought this dye to get them back to black again. It was an easy process to do. I used a bucket, so I didn't have to clean out my washing machine after using this product. I put the dye in hot water and mixed it up, then I put my shorts in and stirred them up a few minutes. Furthermore, I let them soak for a day or two, stirring occasionally. Then I drained the water off, rinsed them a few times, and then washed them in mild soap to remove any excess dye left over. They looked brand new and still have a nice black color that hopefully will be there after many washings. I would purchase this product again if I needed it.

2023-07-13T00:00:00Used this product twice on a dark green dress to hopefully turn it black. The only result I got was a darker green, even after two sessions. I prefer this brand for product dyes and likely won’t stop buying, but still wanted to share my experience. -

2023-03-05T00:00:00I wish someone would make a black dye that actually turned fabric black. I have a 100% cotton backpack, and I used salt, super hot water, and two boxes of Rit black dye. No dice. The backpack turned brown :(

2024-01-02T00:00:00dyed a black sweatshirt that I got bleach on and I was surprised that it actually did a great job and you would never know there was a bleach stain on there. You have to make Sure you rinse it well by itself so that it doesn't bleed onto other clothes but this is a great remedy for any mistakes.

It's worth noting that, if you've used this product in the past, perhaps years ago, it seems the strength of the dye is not as intense as it once was. This is no fault of the seller nor Amazon. It's the manufacturer. Like most things these days, they're making it cheaper and raising the price. To the seller: 5 stars, highly recommend.
