2024-08-21T00:00:00REALLY IMPRESSED! I recently did upgrades in my kitchen. My range hood isn't vented, so my main objective was to buy the most attractive hood for the least amount of money. I was going to purchase a B**** for $220 at HD, but when I went to look at it, it was cheaply made with horrible welds. I didn't want to see the underside of the hood, so I continued to look online. I came across an article in Forbes Magazine that rated the best range hoods for 2024. They rated Cosmo the best. Honestly, I'd never heard of them.

2024-05-23T00:00:00i had a little retro fitting under my cabinet to fill the area to attach from underneath. Minus driving to the hardware store and a couple cuts, this went in with ease. I do think its a bit loud with the fan on high. I have no ducting so I need to purchase some charcoal filters from Cosmo's website. ducting looked very simple as well, either from the top to flex duct (like a dryer vent) or rear vented. i wish the house was vented but it's not. at this point I would recommend it. Also, plug it in prior to installing and leave the protective film on until the last moment so you dont scratch it. it finger prints easily. make sure to wipe it down. Good Luck!

2024-11-23T00:00:00After learning that I couldn't vent to the outside, I bought this unit, thinking it would suffice bc the recirculating fans don't do much anyway. But this one has a weak fan and barely sucks. Spend more money and get one that can at least pull the odors up through the filter. Wish I had.

2023-01-13T00:00:00if you have older 12" deep cabinets, mounting could be tricky because you need nearly 1" for the power cord. it is feasible to adjust the plastic piece holding the power cord straight but that's a 'better know what you're doing' type issue. power is 44" long maybe in the factory, after internal routing you get about 35" (in my case)

2021-08-16T00:00:00Bought this because I moved to a new place, where the kitchen is quite small without air duct. So I wanted a slim stainless steel hood to replace the aged white modal (with a Under Cabinet Range Hood with Ducted/Ductless Convertible in case I renovate my kitchen later to make a duct). I like the bright built-in LED and three outside push buttons (the push button under the hood gets oil and hard to clean), There is three-pronged plug but I don't have power outlet, so I hardwired it. As others have stated, the blue plastic film wrapped around the entire product was quite hard to remove, but I managed to remove it except a little near to the LED light, since it is stuck inside so I didn't get it all out of the cracks. The provided 4 screws to affix the unit to the underside of the cabinet are too long, I used the old screws. The filter and parts are all included, the two reusable aluminum mesh filters are easy to wash, it looks good and modern, The suction power is fair and is enough for my small kitchen, it is not a luxury style with reasonable price, so choose based on your need, I would say for the price it is a OK unit.
