2024-11-10T00:00:00full disclosure - i ordered this as a petite woman for a cosplay. i very carefully checked the size chart, but was swayed by both the drawstring attached to the elastic as well as POCKETS. fricking pockets! and they could fit my phone! based on a couple reviews i was a little worried about the fabric being thin, but no they arrived feeling like they were fairly thick. after tightening the calf laces (which for me was mostly ankle, i'm tiny) i then carefully walked around testing the fit and the seams. nothing budged whatsoever, so i happily wore these pants for over eight hours without any issues at all. as long as you measure and get the right size, these work great! -

2024-09-14T00:00:00I bought a small and they fit snug on a 29” waist. They are loose and comfortable throughout other than a slight tightness at the top of the lacing on my calves, not enough to be uncomfortable. I do have fairly muscular legs (including calves) for my waist size so this isn’t an uncommon problem for me in regular pants. I was able to adjust the laces to account for this and there is only a sliver of skin showing if I move certain ways. I bought these for a renaissance festival outfit so they are more than enough for what I need. The material is thicker than I expected so they may get warm in the heat, TBD. I like the fact that they have pockets and the have a drawstring in case the elastic waist band is still loose. Length-wise I typically buy 30-32” and these pants give me extra length, I’d estimate they are about 34” length.

2022-04-24T00:00:00I measured myself before picking a size and used the chart and the fit of the pants was exactly what I anticipated. Also, I have thicker thighs and 'typical' lady hips and wear my pants around my hips instead of my 'waist' - just fYI these pants fit the best, pockets didn't bulge out or look weird, and the fit at the thighs was perfectly loose like I needed but not too loose. The material was light and airy, perfect for outdoor ren faire. I would not hesitate to wear these by themselves without the extra belts or sash, they look good. Quality of the ankle loops was high and also look great (I didn't need them to since I wore boots) and they are adjustable even for thick calves if you want to pull them up (just be careful and loosen first). I bought this brand and another of almost the exact same style to see which would be the better fit for me. These are more comfortable than I expected and would definitely purchase again over other brands tried.

I will say that going in the summer with pants is never an easy thing however these were breezy where they needed to be to keep me comfortable, they were easy to put on and take off which is a blessing at Ren Fares. The fabric is comfortable and warm and does allow for people to comfortable my walk around when first using them. The pockets are not super deep but do allow for you to keep essentials such as keys and wallets. I would highly recommend them for anyone going to a costume party or Ren Fare. Definitely worth the money and will help keep you comfortable and flexable where n -

I had ordered a medium, which is my usual size for pants, but they were much baggier than expected, and the actual ankle cuffs are, in my experience, a little loose. They're quite breathable, as the fabric is quite thin, so I wouldn't be rough with them. -
