It does let you get a cup before its finished , which is nice. There is not a light behind the time display so it's hard to see. Perfectly average drippy Coffee maker! -

This coffee pot was a great deal for $20 with a 20% off coupon so I thought I'd go for it. I am NOT disappointed. Easy to use, easy water pour, easy coffee pull, space saving, and heat plate turns off. I haven't used the program feature yet but I will. How can you beat it? Glad I bought it.
