2021-09-01T00:00:00Let’s start with what’s wrong with it, because at this price point that’s probably what you want to know. The first thing I noticed right out of the box was that the back of the neck is a little rough. I can tell it has been sanded, and it’s certainly not going to give you splinters, but I’d be unhappy with it in a more expensive instrument. Not a big deal, just something I’ll be refinishing. Second, I was glad to see that the guitar came with strings, but was surprised to open the package and see that they were already on the guitar, and had some tension on them as well. Again, not a big deal, just not the way I would have done it. When I first started playing the instrument I noticed a few buzzy notes, but I haven’t adjusted the neck or tried any different strings yet, so the jury is still out on that one. I also would not trust the guitar strap that comes included. The bits that attach to the bass are made of VERY thin material. I’m just using one of my other guitar straps. -

2024-12-02T00:00:00I've had fenders, Warwicks, and all sorts of other standard basses for which I've paid thousands of dollars. This thing is the best cheap guitar ever. Would I go on tour with it? No. But 99% of people with Warwicks don't go on tour either, and unless you're a paid musician and can write off thousands of dollars, why bother? This thing is perfect for playing around the house and the occasional jam session or gig. -

2024-10-31T00:00:00For this price to get an instrument this decent is incredible. A good paint job and no sharp feet ends. The fretboard has some dead spots that buzz but that can be fixed with a file and some adjustment. It does have a neck dive issue because the neck is a heavier wood than the body but tone wood is a myth. It sounds great so who cares. Don’t let snobs tell you you can’t learn or even record with a cheap ass bass/guit

2024-11-13T00:00:00Never, in my wildest dreams, of ever buying a bass guitar, would I have ever thought that an instrument - at this price - could ever be such amazingly good quality, and sound!? I would have given blood at 13 years of age to have such an "impossible to believe", quality bass guitar!? The sound is as good as the playability - and straight out of the box - all I did was tune it! The action is set so that any user can play it immediately, which of course, if you are a pro, you might want to ensure playing longevity, and this will always be a personally relative thing. But I am blown away with how amazingly perfect this instrument arrived, so well set up from factory! The selected wood materials for the body and neck are typical, but seem above average. The electronics are as basic as the original wiring from our forefathers of electric guitars. And I'll wager they use oxygen-free copper in the winding of the pickups because they sound crystal clear and devoid of all noise - quiet as a mouse! The paint job is great. The attention to detail for a mass produced instrument at this price - is simply amazing! I can assure you, I am not trying to sell this product, but I think I found GOLD in California! And it comes in the form of a 4 string bass guitar. Thank you Glarry!

2024-08-20T00:00:00i like inexpensive gear, especially basses since it is not my go to instrument. i have purchased a few squier basses over the years. this bass smokes them all. it's playable right out of the box, and for the first time in my life i lost track of time because playing bass. this thing is a blast!!! a tad of a fret buzz is my only gripe. i may swap strings down the road, but i actually like these ones. best $70 i ever spent on music gear. hands down. -
