2023-12-04T00:00:00My previous one still works, sometimes, but is the deluxe version with cutter and bag roll storage- nice features but tall and awkward to get the bag in and initiate the vacuum process. It started not working well, so I ordered this. I HIGHLY recommend this version. Nice and flat tot eh counter so the bag isn't fighting to pop out, great suction and very secure seal. Doesn't have a cutter built in, so get to mess with scissors or buy pre-made bags, but I like this one much better and with I hadn't spent the money on the Deluxe before. This one also fits right into my cabinet to clear counter space. I recommend this.

2024-03-25T00:00:00I have been wanting a food saver for a while because I buy a lot of meat and freeze it, but have to deal with freezer burn too often. This is so nice to have! Now my meat is packed away nicely.

2024-12-10T00:00:00I have had an older v2222 model foodsaver for 15+ years that recently died on me. I use this to split up fresh meat from the butcher and had put my old model through the wringer pretty good. It has sealed hundreds if not thousands of pounds of meat, veggies and various other items over the years as I buy in bulk multiple times per year. Served me well. When it came time to replace it, all the mew models had bag storage and I did not want that. This is the only "foodsaver" model I could find that did not have that option. Lots of off brands, but I wanted an actual foodsaver because I am brand loyal. This new machine has performed excellent over the last month and I just sealed up a large batch of chicken thighs in quite a few bags and it did great. Nice thick seal consistently. I will update this if it doesn't live up to expectations, but so far it is doing a great job. -

2024-12-21T00:00:00it does not as described. takes multiple tries and repositioning of the bag before it even 'might' vacuum! i had the big model for over 15 years and never had a problem! the first time i used it, it did not even vacuum out all the air and it wasn't even a large item in the bag! switched bags and the same thing, three bags later it finally did somewhat of a good vacuum and i did switch to the moist mode! today, i tried to vacuum 1/4 lb of ground pork, and again, would not vacuum! repositioned the bag several times including turning it over and still nothing. after 15 minutes, it finally decided to vacuum the air out and the bag was right where i first put it in! the lid is also not easy to close to start the thing! so, amazon, where can i send this thing back on your shipping fee?? this thing is junk, not easy to use and very frustrating! not worth the money! thinking the positive reviews are plants to give people a false sense of how good this thing is. as i said before, i had large food save machine and never had this sort of issue!
