2023-12-17T00:00:00All in all it's not much different than the charger that came with my switch. Cord is roughly same length, block is around same size, charges my switch just a fast, only real difference is that it hasn't stopped working for no reason... like my actual switch charger did. It's still working fine and a I'm happy with it. My official Switch charger would stop working randomly, I'd have to unplug it to let it cycle down for a few minutes, before plugging it back in. Eventually it finally stopped working altigether. I didn't even know that was a thing with Switch chargers, until I looked it up on Google, trying to find out why my switch wouldn't charge. Honestly it's probably worth buying a spare charger, not from Nintendo, just for when the Nintendo one just gives up on working forever. I choose this charger because it has a chip set and failsafe system to prevent over charging and damage to my switch. Some chargers don't have that feature, and I paid too much for my Switch to risk a less safe charger. It's also almost half the price of the official Switch charger. -

2022-10-12T00:00:00An adequate replacement for the original Switch charger. The brick is pretty big, but so is the OEM hardware. If you're using it for just the console, it should work fine for any model. If you plan on charging other things with it, realize it's only 15w. This won't give you the power you get from USB-C laptop chargers or super fast charging with many phone cables. It works well enough, and the price is fair. Most use cases should be fully satisfied by the performance.

I also enjoy playing while waiting for airplanes when traveling, in the car, etc. The biggest disappointment of having a portable game system, was that without this piece, charging was impossible without the whole docking station. So, so glad that we invested in this so that we can charge on the go!
