2023-12-31T00:00:00This is a quality accessory for your SOLO stove. It is heavy gauge stainless steel and will last for years. It is far easier to cover your stove than the vinyl cover provided. You don't have to wait until it is cool to the touch to apply like you do the vinyl cover. Vinyl also has environmental issues and is not able to be recycled like the steel lid can be at the end of its life. The vinyl cover is also a pain when it is cold outside as it is less pliable. I like that the stainless lid creates a flat hard surface when covered which allows something else to be stacked on top of it if needed. Also, heavy enough where wind will not cause it to come off, well unless you are experiencing a Tornado or Hurricane at which point it will become mother natures frisbee!

2024-10-06T00:00:00We took our new Solo Stove with lid camping with us this past week at a state park and we were more than pleased. We were able to enjoy sitting by the fire without smoke chasing us away as well as covering the stove with the lid when we turned in for the night (after the fire was out) and we knew that if it rained during the night (which it did) we would have a dry stove interior in the morning for an easy start fire. We have camped for years in state and federal lands parks and this stove is a game changer, no more soggy smokey fire ring.

2024-07-04T00:00:00The lid is expensive for what it is but it seems to be good quality and is useful. With the British weather there is often a risk of rain after using the stove but before it's cool enough for the cover. This lid stops the ashes becoming a wet mess that would be hard to clean out.
