【Max 8000 Lumens of Actual Output Bike Front Light for Mountain Biking 】 5x CREE XHP50.2 LEDs, with top row of 3x LEDs putting out up to 4800 lumens of flood light with 31 degree spread, and bottom row of 2x LEDs with up to 3200 lumens of spot light with 21 degree spread. 【High Quality Copper LED PCB Heat Dissipation 】 At max power the Monteer 8000S heats up very quickly. The quality PCB allows for super fast heat transfer to outer sinks. Max output is usually only achieved while riding at full speed(I.E. downhill descents.)

【Aluminum Alloy Out Front Bike Mount 】 CNC hollow aluminum alloy out front handlebar mount, super strong and light weight, compatible with most Garmin quarter turn devices. Default shims support handlebar sizes 31.8 & 35mm

2023-01-07T00:00:00I have never experienced a light that does such a great job of illuminating the trail ahead on mountain bike rides. Even on the brightest setting (8000 lumens), the battery life of 1.5 hrs. is plenty for my rides. It is quick to mount and the fact that I can pop it on the Moonshine and Garmin mounts makes it even easier to use on various bikes. All that being said, there are a couple of cons with this light. My first comment (not a con) would be that I would definitely use a helmet mounted light in addition to the 8000S on the bars so that you can get a better view further ahead on winding tech trails. It also helps your depth perception if you have light coming from more than just one point. So, here are the only two things I didn't like about the light. First, if you aren't using it on a moving bike and it's running at the full 8000 lumens, the light head will get VERY hot. Using it as a handheld mega flashlight is not recommended for more than 2 minutes at the highest setting. Lastly, I feel that the plug from the light head into the battery should have been designed to release with a button or lever of some kind. The plug fits so tightly that you have to use a tremendous amount of force to unplug it. In my case, removing the plug several times (5 - 7) must have caused a short inside the plug or the wire going into the plug. Any short will cause the battery to shut down and the light to go out. The only way to get it going again is to plug in a charging cable to reset the battery. Not something you can do if it happens on the trail. You'd definitely be out of luck without a spare light to finish the ride. In a series of emails to Magicshine, I explained all this and they are sending my a new power cable free. Kudos to them for the great support even though I've had the light over a year. Plug design aside, it's a great light and I recommend it to all my mountain biking friends. -

2024-09-11T00:00:00THIS THING KICKS A55!!!! I ride my bike and e-scooter mostly at night and was searching for a nice long lasting and bright light. I’ve been using the nitrcore bike light but just wanted something better and brighter. Hands down the brightest most functional and long running light I’ve ever seen. Medium is PLENTY bright and last something like 6hours. HIGH is absolutely insane and lights up wooded trails like DAYLIGHT! Absolutely amazing light -

2022-12-07T00:00:00As I prepare for my fifth mountain bike night ride with this light, it seems only appropriate that I should give it the sparkling review that it has earned. They tell me that I have a type of light stigmatism, which in layman terms means that I cannot see very well at night time. I have tried helmet/handlebar combination with the glowworm lights and have compared this light to one of my friends outbound lighting helmet/handlebar combo and there is no comparison, even though I am only using one handlebar light. It really has made a difference in the enjoyment that I am now able to experience while riding my mountain bike in the woods at night. I no longer have paranoia that my inability to discern objects on the trail or even the trail itself will contribute to my next crash. This light is overkill for riding on the road but for the woods it truly does produce a magicshine! It is pricey and I took advantage of the black Friday sale which made it a little less painful! I alternate using it on the highest setting and the middle setting, it is easy to swap back-and-forth using the remote. I haven’t ridden longer than 1 1/2 hours, so thus far I have only gotten down to the warning light letting me know that the battery has approximately 20% charge left. There is a small light on the light head itself that is green when there is 21% to 100% of battery life left, this light changes color when the battery gets lower than 21% on its charge. I always have other riders in the group asking what light that I have due to how bright it is. I am elated with the brightness of this light and highly recommend it. -

2023-12-22T00:00:00Now that it is wintertime, I am doing clubs rides at night. Both mountain biking and gravel. I tried some of the cheaper lights ( around $45) they certainly worked but were nowhere near Bright enough for technical riding. I did a lot of research and a few guys in my club ride with older versions of lights from this company. -

2020-12-19T00:00:00I have owned many bike lights over the years and this one is my favorite. I have poor night vision and this light makes it possible to ride trails at night at full speed. Brightness and beam width are outstanding. The beam is wide enough that I can see into switchbacks without using a helmet mounted lamp. Bar mount is very secure. Battery mount (velcro straps that pass through slots on the battery) are also secure and work well under the handlebar or on the frame. Runtime has been as advertised. There is enough of a hood around the bulbs that I don't get blinded by the light unless I get very far forward over the bars.
