2025-02-10T00:00:00I was very hesitant to buy this because the fact you have to actually take your oculus quest 2 controller apart to install this replacement thumbstick and sensor. But honestly it wasn’t that hard and my son’s controller works like new again and it saved me $55 exactly because a one new left controller is priced at $75-$80. I would encourage adults who have children with oculus quest and they are complaining that their controllers are making gameplay horrible getting stuck characters not able to move or stand still but this. Even if you are not a handy person like me watch the video and follow along. Would buy again !!! -

2025-02-20T00:00:00This kit came with everything you need to replace the joysticks. My sons controller had a really bad stick drift that cleaning wouldn't fix. If you're not proficient with electronics, I would highly recommend watching a couple YouTube videos just to see what your getting into. There is a bit of a process to this but is honestly fairly easy once you know how to go about it.

2025-02-08T00:00:00I’ve never taken an electronic apart as throughly as I did this controller. That being said, I found a YouTube tutorial and in about 30 minutes I had it re assembled more efficiently than the guy in the YouTube video. I will recommend having some of your own tools for this to make it a bit simpler such as a screw driver that can accept different heads. I got it done with just the tools it came with but, it could’ve been a bit easier. If I can do it then, almost anyone can.

2025-02-15T00:00:00I'm sure it would have worked fine but my controllers were almost 4 years old and the battery connectors snapped off the board. Ended up just buying a 3s. Make no mistake though these joysticks felt quality.

2025-01-10T00:00:00I got this because I refuse to pay for 2 new controllers and both of my controllers had extreme drift. I started installation on the left controller first since that one aggravated me far more than the right controller's drift. In the process of unscrewing the controller, I did accidentally strip one of the screws, making it impossible to open up and replace the joystick. However, this was personal error and not a fault on the product. I was more careful with the right controller and managed to swap it out in about 2 hours (I struggled with releasing the FFC cables as I've never done it before). Once it was installed, I had a little problem in that the joystick would stick to the outer edges, but after a few hours of usage that problem went away.

2024-10-22T00:00:00The product itself isn't bad quality, nothing too special, but it does include tools, though not all of which are useful. The included screwdriver is too bulky to fit in order to unscrew some of the small hidden screws. When you take apart the controller, theres a seal around the face panel of it that is destroyed when the panel is removed and the kit doesn't contain a replacement. Without the seal, the face panel doesn't quite sit right on the controller, making it harder to press the buttons. Also, replacing the joystick requires a full disassembly of the joystick, and it can be really easy to damage the electronics in the process. Another important thing to note is that there is a spring in the controller that connects to the joystick which detects when the joystick is touched, if this spring is bent or damaged in the slightest, this detection will not work at all and the kit also does not include a replacement. So while replacing the joystick will eliminate stick drift, it can cause other problems. Ultimately I think that this kit is okay if you're willing to accept that it may be a bit jank, but if you want to maintain the quality of the original controller, it would be better to replace the controller all together. That however is far more expensive. I would say to replace the controller or bring it to get fixed if possible, especially if you do not want to deal with the sensitive electronics.

2024-12-05T00:00:00I had my reservations at first about buying this but turned out to be a great product. You definitely need to find a video online to help you with the replacement as there are some tricky aspects to it. The tools included with this kit worked but I had other tools that came in handy too. But once I replaced the joysticks on my sons Oculus they worked great haven't had an issue yet, he was very impressed his mom could fix them. lol. Really good product at a great price.

2023-12-16T00:00:00Works perfectly stopping annoying stick drift. Much cheaper than replacing your remote. Agree it’s a fiddly job to replace but there are a few good YouTube videos and the tools supplied are all you need. Comes with x2 so you can repair both remotes or just one. Tip when installing it’s easier to remove both ends of the ribbon cable than try and persist . You’ll know what I mean when you reach that point . Takes about 1hr to complete the job

2023-12-06T00:00:00The media could not be loaded. One stick had worse drift than the original i was taking out. The second stick has very slight drift. Mostly noticeable in Walking Dead, after walking forward and letting go of the stick, you'll walk forward slowly. The tools you receive with it are good. But with both sticks being defective, it's wasted my money and A LOT of time disassembling the controller twice. On top of that, they ship from china and took about a week to even dispatch.
