2023-07-05T00:00:00This is a well engineered and exceptionally sturdy product in the class of 'plastic boxes'. Assembly was a breeze and the design of corners and bottom assembly seems to be snug enough to keep out the rain. I also purchased a cover because of the many comments on other products that leak; this box was bone dry after several days of rain and thunderstorms! It may be OK without the cover, but I did not want to risk it. One tip - the bottom snap into the lugs on the sides is very snug. I found the best approach is to turn the box upside down and use a mallet on the bottom (rather than transmitting the pounding from the top edge of the box). This approach produced a very good seating and clear snap on assembly. The other feature I like is the 'sprung' design of the hinges which opens the box easily and limits range of motion to keep stress off the mounting screws ---- very clever. Love it all ---- so far. -

2024-08-20T00:00:00This storage chest was exactly what we needed and the online description matched what we received. It’s kept our stuff dry through several storms to date. The assembly instructions were good and everything needed was included. What I didn’t expect was the manufacturers’s care for their customers. Our chest was slightly damaged during shipping and we were a bit upset about it. We didn’t want to return the unit so I reached out to the vendor for resolution. They took our concern seriously and involved three of their staff to meet our needs and provide a resolution we were very happy with. I was SO impressed. You just don’t get that level of customer service much anymore. Very satisfied customer!!

2023-12-30T00:00:00This out door storge box assembled easily and seemed perfect for the first 6 months or so. Then the lid began to warp so that the edges lifted up a bit while it seated nicely in the middle. So far no water has leaked in, and if the warping continues there will be a area on each edge in which water will be able to enter. I am using this as a delivery box at the end of the driveway so that delivery drivers do not have to come all the way to the house, and it suits my needs well. However if the goal were to keep out all water long term (years) this item will likely not perform. It is my opinion that as plastic is forever, things made of plastic should be made to last a lifetime. This item is not.

2023-04-19T00:00:00I was able to assemble this by myself, although it suggests that you do it with two people. It is easier though - to have an extra hand to assist in orienting and putting the sides together. You should view the assembly video to see what I mean.

2023-09-20T00:00:00I purchased two Yitahome XXL 230 Outdoor Storage containers, which were delivered on May 25, 2023. The containers were described as waterproof and lockable. The top door lid of one of the containers significantly warped. The warping prevented the door from closing correctly and caused a large opening. The other container seemed to be okay, which lead me to believe the damaged container was defective.
