The one thing I absolutely detest about Turbo Tax is the updates they do when you start the program. On my laptop, it takes FOREVER. It's very annoying when all you want to do is get your taxes done, but can't because you have to wait an hour for a stupid software update. It happens every year too.

When it came to file it would not work. I switched computers and the turbo tax software worked perfectly, the first download did not activate, never asked for the key, the second download asked for the activation key and worked great as usual.

I purchased this desktop version, it did not function as expected, decided to file my return online, then ask a refund to the Refund department of Turbo Tax, and it was denied. Then I checked all the documents they requested, and I provided the License Number, they believe is wrong, I downloaded the app, did not ask for a disk, Amazon provided the License Number. Turbo Tax rejected it, I provided my receipt, and they rejected, stating the information was not readable.

I have been buying & using TurboTax for years to complete & file our taxes, but these were all retail hard-disks & this year, I decided to try the online download even though I was apprehensive about it. I shouldn’t have been though since the download worked perfectly & about 20 minutes later, I got underway. Everything worked great & even though prices increased $10.00 for the version I needed (Basic), TurboTax, in my opinion, is still the best out there & I’ll always recommend them, whether you get the retail (hard-disk) pkg. or online download as I did this time…

Despite the fact that it SHOULD BE ILLEGAL for the government to supply the public with such complex rules which make multi-tiered, expensive Tax software necessary for people without special accounting skills - and to MAKE US PAY FOR THAT SOFTWARE - TurboTax is the most user-friendly program I have tried. A good feature is the pop-up "?" where you can learn lots of information about a plethora of crazy rules and buzzwords. Turbo Tax is more than happy to take your money, insist you install updates every time you revisit the program, and not offer you any information about whether they store your data themselves, or whether or not they share any of your data with data-brokers. However, all the other products do these things, too - so while you will still have a headache with TurboTax, it won't be as painful as some of the other product's headaches. A single Aleve might suffice. In 1913, the federal income tax started as four pages of forms and instructions. In 2023 - according to Investopedia - the Internal Revenue Code contains thousands of numbered sections that provide specific definitions, rules, and levies which are legal requirements that taxpayers must follow. They are published in Title 26 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Some claim these codes include over 70,000 pages, if you count all the boilerplate. So why wait for your headache? Start using TurboTax today!

Product download arrived quickly. Directions easy to follow. Filing my taxes was quick and easy. Store on your computer and next year when you buy again, it enters in your existing info. Highly recommend!
