2024-01-09T00:00:00I do not recommend this item as a stool for children to stand upon because it closes itself up very easily if it is even slightly moved. I suppose since it is so close to the ground, it could be sat upon, but because it doesn't stay open on its own, little fingers would be injured when opening up. I myself deal with it with extra caution. I am using it as a plant stand, but it's more a nuisance than a functional item.

2023-05-30T00:00:00The media could not be loaded. I weigh 145lbs and it bends and bows when I’m standing on it. For something that’s advertised as holding up to 300lbs, I feel I shouldn’t cause it to bend like that. Does not feel sturdy. I do not recommend it for adults and feel that although we can technically stand on it, that it will eventually crack at some point. Feels like cheap plastic. It has good grips at the feet. Keeps it in place. Stores away nicely. This stepping stool is more ideal for little ones. Maybe for potty, helping in the kitchen and teeth brushing time. Light and easy enough for kids to use on their own. Overpriced at $27.
