2024-09-25T00:00:00I bought two of these for our trip to Disney. Baby was 7 months old for the trip and I was worried about keeping her cool. We’ve continued to use one throughout the summer mostly because she thinks they’re funny and loves being spritzed. But the one we haven’t used as much no longer works. Tried multiple sets of new batteries and still nothing. Glad we have one that works still but just know if you want to use it, store it, and have it for another trip: probably won’t work. -

2024-07-08T00:00:00The locking mechanism for the batteries was broken when we got it. Even if it wasn't already broken it's lifespan would have been maybe a few hours of use before it broke. It's two TINY cheap plastic tongs maybe 1/16 of an inch thick. I wouldn't expect it to be water proof, but at least water resistant.. but the batter cover has massive gaps in it that would let any leaking/misting water into the unit. The picture shows how small the latches in the battery compartment are and the huge gap in the back... which shouldn't have water near it, but let's face it with kids and tossing it in a backpack or beach bag it's 100% going to leak. Not to mention filling it with water is going to be wet.

That said, if you are purchasing for your children, as we were, it's important to note that these are not very sturdy. Both fans broke within a few days of heavy kid use. If you are looking for a misting fan and will not be rough with the device, it should work well and just as expected. It does not stand up to regular kiddo use...but(!) kids still absolutely LOVE these. For whatever reason. Probably because they are sweet little goofballs. 🤣🤷🏼♀️
