2024-10-08T00:00:00So I have actually been using these razors for years and I personally love them, they are not super expensive and I really like the 5 blade razor compared to 3 blade razors. Some things that I have noticed and also saw people had issues with in the reviews, to start the packaging, they actually just started using new packaging for the razor heads that are alot easier to open so you don't cut yourself. The old packaging had to plastic pieces that clicked together that were a little tougher to open but the new package it sits in a little cup and you just peel the paper to open it. Second the razor handle, this razor is compared to venus razors this does not mean it is going to fit your venus razor handles, amazon basics makes another razor set that is pink that says will fit venus razor blades if you want it to fit venus blades I would buy the pink one. I also personally buy a new 12 pack with a new handle whenever I run out if my twelve refills because being in a humid environment like the shower it is more prone to rust and it is recommended to replace the handles. Third the blade refills themselves, I really like them and have not had any issues with them being gummy or flaking but I also rinse my blade when I am done using it to get any hair out so it is clean when I hang it up to dry. It is also not recommended to cover your razor when wet or the cover will stick to the blade and it will waste your refill blade. You can cover your razor once it is dry to prevent it from sticking but if you keep your razor in the shower but do not use it every time you shower the humidity will also make the cover stick so I recommend not keeping it in the shower or keeping it uncovered. The fourth thing, the little hanger it comes with has personally never worked for me but it is very hard to keep anything that suction cups to the wall to stay in a humid environment like a shower. I personally have a corner insert with shelves for my shampoo, conditioner, ect that is removable, the shelves are wire shelves so I bought little hangers that you can hang from the shelves and just put my razor on that instead of using the hanger it comes with. Sorry for such a long review but hopefully this helps somehow because these are really good razors in my opinion.

2025-01-21T00:00:00I've purchased the razor and refills three times. I shave every day or two and a fresh refill blade lasts me two months, so the set lasts me about two years. For the money, I'm not sure I could find a more economical route. One downfall I noticed with the last set is that the moisturizing strip swells and sometimes it blocks the blade from shaving against the skin. Then I have to use more pressure to get a close shave. It's not horrible but it is slightly inconvenient.

2025-01-19T00:00:00I wanted to try these because I loved the pink amazon brand razors. These shave well. But the razor constantly clips out of the handle. I only had a few uses out of this before one of the springs broke (where the razor clips in). So...now I have all the refills and can't use them. I wouldn't waste your money. 😕

2020-06-04T00:00:00When Amazon launched Solimo razors, I decided to buy some of the men's ones for myself and this women's one for my wife. Since I bought a large pack with 16 cartridges, I offered my wife to try out the men's one after using this women's version and she preferred the men's one more, especially when she found out the men's ones were cheaper. Since we both switched to Solimo men's razors, I discovered that the exact same handles and cartridges are sold at FreshCo/Sobeys/Foodland under the store brand, and they're even cheaper than the Solimo cartridges, so we'll be buying from there in the future. -

I have always had trouble finding the right razor that didn't leave little cuts around my knees, but this one worked so well! I now have the refills sent to every other month! I will go back to buying expensive Venus because it cost less when the blade lasts longer, Duh! Will I buy this again? Maybe, if Venus becomes so expensive I can’t cough up the money. -

2019-07-28T00:00:00I have been looking for a good quality razor with 5 blades. So far I haven't found anything that gives a nice close shave, until now. The head swivels to go around curves, and has something in the head that moisturizes as you shave. So far it seems to give a nice close shave, but I haven't used it long enough to know how long it lasts.
