2024-06-16T00:00:00I started out looking for a small set for myself and my little one that offered more than 8 or 12 so we could both experiment with new colors without a bunch of mixing cups. I honestly wasn't expecting much. But wow. These are very good quality! And the brushes were pretty good too! Must say I wasn't expecting the colors to be so vivid and I was really impressed. For a few dollars more we have so many colors that do well on watercolor paper. If you are thinking you are going to get the washed out colors of elementary school you would ve wrong- they are near solid and can be washed lighter with just a bit of water. The colors go far and the paints are set in place very well into the tray (it stinks when some shrink and pop out) so this is a solid set and bonus brushes were nice. The top opened up can also be used with little wells in it to mix colors easily. Put a drop or two on it before using and it is ready to go. Very happy with this set. Oh! And the white is really white- enough to go over dark colors crisp. I really like these :) -

But for someone like me who has never painted before and knows nothing about watercolor, they were perfect. they got the job done, they were easy and fun to work with, the colors were vibrant and there was a great selection of shades.
