You do need to speak/sing close to the mic for your voice to be picked up appropriately. The battery life is excellent (about 8-10 hours of use before recharging) and the mics do recharge quickly when necessary. My favorite feature is the "remix" button that allows you to add and blend echo/reverb. It really enhances your voice with the music. The mics are a bargain considering their price and my kids love them!

2024-01-15T00:00:00I’m literally not joking, our microphone CAUGHT ON FIRE when it was plugged in to charge. My boyfriend and I were just chillin, waiting for the mic to charge so we can bang out to some jams for a fun karaoke night with our absolute best friends when we heard a giant pop and we look over and the microphone was billowing smoke. Honestly, the smell was worse than ten cans of bounce that ass and I’m pretty sure we ripped a new hole in the ozone layer with how toxic it was. We threw it out in the snow outside because we panicked and had no idea what to do. I slept with the other one in the sink because I was scared our damn house would catch fire if we went to bed. Obviously was too busy trying to keep our house from exploding so I don’t have a pic of that but I do have a picture of the microphone laying in the snow, looking guilty as all hell. Don’t buy this - especially if you don’t have renters or fire insurance.

2022-07-05T00:00:00I bought 2 of these for my 5 and 9 year olds. They were a good price for something to entertain the kids and not really be worried if they are rough with them. They are able to connect to their tablets with Bluetooth and sing along with videos! The only thing that is a little annoying is you can't adjust the volume for the internal messages. When you turn it on, it says "the Bluetooth device is ready pair" and there's another message when it connects. This is so loud that I have to bury it in a blanket or something to dampen the sound. Overall, not bad for the price!

They sound great last so long maybe too long I hear the kids singing all day keeping entertained and laughing. My son even takes his microphone in his backpack when we take a drive or go places he loves loves it. These are better than others we have purchased by far and look like the real thing and have so many options. I highly recommend!
