2024-12-23T00:00:00Microsoft Word does what Billy Gates wants, WordPerfect does what you want it to do. I've used WordPerfect forever and it is much more flexible than Word. Word has a better spell/grammatic checker, but that is all. WordPerfect's reveal codes feature is worth the price as it allows you to get rid of problematic formatting codes. I primarily do word processing so I can't say much about the other programs. If it had a good email program, I'd ditch MS totally, but the government requires that we use it for many things.

It's functionality, ease of use, compatibility are all great. No issues with the download or install. GREAT. -

2024-12-14T00:00:00This arrived quickly and installed easily. It works along the lines of Excel (which is what I am used to using). I think I used this program at one time in my working years. With that being said, I was given the impression that I could load my Excel files into Quattro Pro and have them there because I didn't want to buy Excel again. Maybe I am doing something wrong but it will not take the file off of the USB drive and load it as a new file in Quattro Pro, which was my point of getting this. At this point I have had to manually type everything in again into new spreadsheet files. This has really aggravated me. So if I'm missing something on how to do it, I apologize and hope other people have more success with it than I have.

2024-04-15T00:00:00I mostly got this for the spreadsheet app. I worked daily with some pretty complex spreadsheets using Excel. Trying to create a spreadsheet using this app was pretty difficult because nothing well many things do not operate like Excel. Formatting and sorting even copy paste proved to be really difficult to do and it was not intuitive. I had to look up everything and still simple things like copy paste did not make it easy to do. I guess if you have used this application it would be great and I like that you can buy it and own it. If Microsoft had that option I would have bought that because I have lots of experience. I am only going to use it infrequently so I am not going to spend the time to get proficient on it. I went back to openoffice which had a difficult time opening one of the files so it took a few attempts to even do that.

2024-09-14T00:00:00Word Perfect has always been a great product. the price point is good for our home office use. This is what my wife uses almost exclusively. working with various printers is much better than some other word products. It provides all the functionality we need and is much easier to use that microsoft office. It not for OpenOffice suite, I would only use Word Perfect. Excellent product. I hope it stays this way!

2024-09-22T00:00:00My vintage Word program wouldn't load on Windows 11. I had numerous Word documents, several of which had to be updated constantly. I resented the idea of an annual subscription to Micro365 just to get Word. Several reviews here mentioned that WordPerfect docs could be converted to Word, so I thought maybe the reverse might be true. And YES! Word docs automatically converted to WordPerfect and able to be revised as if they were native to it. Former Word users will have no problem using WordPerfect.
