2023-12-23T00:00:00When I started to use this for the first time I thought it was smoking and the shampooer itself didn't work. But after unplugging it and actually looking at it, the dirty water chamber had about a half inch of fine dirt in it. You have to push the handle in extremely hard to make sure it's all the way in. My second try after pushing the handle all the way in I was extremely happy about how well it cleaned the carpet. The dual brush on the rug scrubber has a lot to do with this I think. It's so easy to clean and empty the dirty water. I would definitely buy this again. Now they need to make a vacuum like this. -

Just don't do it. I don't know whats going on with all the negative reviews being buried or how its possible that the average star rating is as high as it is. The thing doesn't work. The water line clogs up and doesnt even start, and I've no idea what they are calling a heater on this thing because there is none. This thing is maddening. -

2022-11-22T00:00:00To start with, I used a Home Depot rental carpet cleaner one week prior to using this shampooer, and the pictures tell the story. I am a big fan of the two spinning brushes. It makes it a much better cleaner than the older prior models I used to use about ten years ago. My shampooer had broken a few years back, and these carpets are about two and a half years old and definitely needed a good cleaning after over a year of 4, 5,... 6 cats living with us. After using a rental, I decided to look into getting another home shampooer, and I am so glad that I found this one. The water was so dirty that a light wouldn't shine through it, even after using a commercial cleaner literally a week ago. It pulled up a BUNCH of cat hair, where the commercial one did not. And it left my carpets no so wet that it was completely dry after 12-14 hours - following two washing passes and four drying passes. Honestly, I see models that are $235-$350 that have all of the IMPORTANT features the Hoover has, at a $155 price tag. Double brushes, hand tool, one gallon wash tank, drying pad, and heating (this one being heated air blown on the carpet rather than actively heating the water - which, if you use hot water and don't take three hours to wash, I would think is a useless feature and would rather the forced hot air feature). Yes, it does not have the "smart wash" or "hot spot wand" or any stupid fancy features, but after thinking it through, I would rather spend HALF THE PRICE on this model than the "you can't be stupid enough to not use this one" model. -
