2024-04-10T00:00:00First vac-Sealer had a few missing parts and had perversely been opened. Called Amazon got a new one delivered next day or two. Great customer service. Pleased with this vac-Sealer. Light weight easy to store and works well. Especially like the double seal. And it says right on the front does not recommend vacuum sealing soups. That’s ok I think you can use the pulse vac and then seal before liquid gets to the top. I plan on trying anyway. Fun kitchen tool.

2024-02-09T00:00:00I owned a Food Saver machine for about 10 years and for the most part was very happy with it and saved a lot of money using it. When the food saver wore out, I tried this machine. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get good seals. I found out that the food saver bags do not seal very well, even with the two heating wires as compared to on on the food saver. One the other hand, the Seatao worked well with the bags came with it. I determined that the multi-ply food saver bags had a higher melting temperature than the Seatao. The Seatao are single ply polyethylene which is less durable and has a lower melting point. For light use, buying the cheaper brand bags may be all you need, but I do not know how well the polyethylene bags will function if the food is boiled in the bag. Vice versa, I don't know how well the cheaper poly bags would work if used on a food sealer machine. In short, I wish I had purchased a new food saver sealer that this machine. Another problem is that the Seatao is very on sealing. The vacuum pumping speed is fine, but the sealing is many times slower than the Food Saver. Maybe this is because of it being designed for poly bags. One the positive, the Seatao had good controls and overall design convenience. It is sturdily built.

2023-07-14T00:00:00I vacuum-sealed six little packets. Turned it off for five minutes then turned it back on and I heard a loud pop. It would not turn on again. Now I have been asked to return the item to the nearest UPS depot for return which is a 10-hour return drive. I am not at all happy with the product or their return or refund policy. I don't think I will be buying much from Amazon anymore as they do not stand by the products they sell.
