2024-10-06T00:00:00I have been using this bug zapper for a few weeks now I would say it’s pretty good. I also have an indoor bug zapper and to be honest they are quite different but both do the job really well. The indoor bug zapper has a very loud shock, kind of like a bullet and it just knocks the bug out. This outdoor bug zapper is more like a torture device. The bugs will just cling to it and then you’ll just hear them fry and sizzle for like 10 seconds straight. It’s kind of sick when you think about it, but overall it kills all the bugs and you can empty it out every day if you want or you can be like me, and just remove the bottom piece of it, so the bugs just fall to the ground after they die. I also cut a piece of the side of the bug zapper to make it more open for bigger bugs to fly in like bigger moths that couldn’t fit into the bugs zapper because of the grate blocking it. I have left it outside during the rain and it still works so I would say it is an outdoor bugs zapper I’ve never left it out in heavy rain, I did put it up whenever It was really bad heavy rain, but I would say a light rain or an average rain would be fine for this. Overall I would give this a 10 out of 10 and I would definitely recommend it. -

2024-11-18T00:00:00This thing really works great but, it is a little difficult to clean. It did come with a little brush to help clean it but, the bristles are not very stiff so, it's hard to clean it well. I do like the screw off door on the bottom so, usually what I do is take down & unplug the unit, get a trash can & hold it over the trash can, kind of pop it on each side then hold it sideways & unscrew the bottom & let the bugs fall out, into the can. Once most have fallen out, I go around the inside of the can, tapping it on each side to get more to loosen up & fall out... what doesn't fall out I try to brush out with the brush... I guess the handle on the brush could be longer as well, to have better access to reaching inside the unit.
