2023-12-28T00:00:00The guitar has a beautiful finish. I performed a "setup" prior to playing and found the following. The truss rod was adjusted properly. The string heights were set correct for the fret radius. Fret heights were flat and no buzzing notes. No frets were to long or sharp ends sticking out. Top nut was properly trimmed. Tuning and comtrol knobs all worked smoothly. It stays in tune very well. Intonation was almost perfect. As good as it could be with new strings. Action height was lower than expected but played clean notes on the entire fret board after tuning. Very easy to play.

2024-05-01T00:00:00I never played bass and wanted to give it a try but didn't want to spend much just in case I didn't get into it. It's the perfect price for what you get. The amp is a small practice amp, obviously. I'm loving it so far and haven't noticed any flaws besides the strap being quite thin where the holes, but you aren't buying it for the strap. I played an Ibanez 6 string electric when I was a teanager so had a little background. So if you just want to pick up a new hobby and want to give bass a try, this is the perfect buy.

2023-07-31T00:00:00The bass is almost as good as one 2-3X in price. Frets aren't sharp like you might find on other cheap basses, and strings were at the right height out of the box. My one complaint is that the volume pots aren't smooth - they have a weird catch in them like they're tweaked a little.

2024-11-03T00:00:00Everything was good quality except the storage bag, which is cheap and kind of useless as a protector. That said, the bass body, strings, and amp were reasonable quality and a great starter. Definitely as good as one you’d get at a music store but at a way better price.
