2024-08-04T00:00:00It's ok for do it yourself taxes, and I don't have a lot of write offs, so works for me. Been using for several years now. But for some reason they can't also include a state electronic file as well as the included fed. Just another way for them to get a little more money out of you. Yes, you can print and mail. But I think they count on a lot of people paying the extra to electronic file the state, when it litterally costs them pennies. But charging $25 for somthing that is 100% electronic is BS! Also each time I use the software I notice they keep things pretty generalized, and don't pinpoint rules and laws. And leave any decisions based on ambiguity to the user. I believe this is done on purpose to protect themselves. And if it comes down to it and if legal action is required, they can always fall back on it was the user not our software. I keep thinking of using a true tax / accountant this year. Always used the quickie walk in places and software. But neither of those actually fully know the laws and rules. The walk in places are just data entry clerks trained somewhat on using the software. They are NOT trained tax professionals!!!

2023-02-17T00:00:00I have a fairly easy tax filing. I dont have any complicated of things to report. You have to know how to get the info you need like your Bank tax info and other. This was only the second time that I downloaded Turbo Tax and the first time from Amazon,which was cheaper than downloading from Turbo Tax directly. I had a slight problem trying to figure out how to download the program. I dont remember what it was, but I figured it out after going back and forth to the order confirmation. I have used Turbo tax for maybe 15yrs I am not sure? At least 13 yrs. for sure. It's always been easy to use because it explains things that you dont understand, which are very few. You can call and speak to a Turbo Tax rep if your really stuck. I have had to call them a couple times and they are very helpful and patient with you. I can tell you that it was a mistake that I made ea time that caused my problem. This year I was able to file my taxes using Turbo two days after the IRS was accepting returns. Turbo notified me that the IRS and my State had accepted my return the next day . My refund was processed and directly deposited to my bank acct. ten days later. I already spent 25% of it.
