I was looking for a simple, easy-to-clean bath mat to prevent slipping in the tub/shower for a family member who struggles a bit with stability in the shower. I previously tried a silicone mat that was softer, machine washable, and didn't have suction cups, which I thought meant it wouldn't trap hair. Unfortunately, that one trapped a LOT of hair around its edges, so I had to turn it over and pick off hair globs after every couple of showers--it was a fail! So, my requirements for the next one I tried became: 1) low cost, 2) easy to clean, 3) DOESN'T TRAP HAIR, 4) clear/see-through, so if hairs do get stuck on it, I can see without turning the mat over. I took a chance on this one, despite some reviews that complained it wasn't soft enough.

I had bought two bathtub mats to replace a Rubbermaid one. One was just back-up to have ready when the time came to replace the other. Now Rubbermaid makes safe bathtub mats, which is why I had always bought their mats, but they build mold fast like Abby Steiner before the bone spur. So I deliberately purchased two mats to avoid all that, just in case. I placed the other one I bought first when I showered because it was the one I grabbed when I reached in the box. But it was slipperly as heck. I was doing some unintentional break dancing moves and that concerned me because I can't dance. Now the OLANLY (I'm not sure I like that name/Not catchy/Speak to your marketing department) does what it's supposed to do. It sucks big time. Wait--let me reword that, the suction cups stay in space like they're supposed to. And it has spaces between the plastic slats, which means no mold. Yay! And it has excellent traction. I tested it. I couldn't pull no dad dance moves and I tried. Which is good. No one should ever witness that, not even me. I immediately chucked the other mat despite just buying it because that one didn't suck, although it did suck (in the exact way you're thinking). Which is to say it wasn't safe to use, defeating the whole purpose of a bathtub mat, to keep you standing while you're singing your favorite tunes under cascading water. The OLANLY (still not feeling the name) shower mat is very safe. Two thumbs up. (Yep, I'm showing my age. Go Foo Fighters!) Oh, I need to go back to work.

Pretty good mat. The suction on the mat is great, it's easy to clean and I don't find any hair or spilled product stuck underneath or in the crevices. My only complaint is that the ridges on the mat can be a little rough on your feet. I've gotten used to it, and will happily take that over slipping on conditioner but sometimes if you step on the ridges in just the right way it can hurt.

We just replaced a tub with an acrylic shower enclosure, which we love, but we are seniors, and felt that the shower bottom felt slippery. I wanted a mat that would let the water run through as draining is only at one far end of the shower.. I also wanted a mat that I could cut to size, if I didn't want the full length. This fit the bill. It drains, has well functioning suction cups all over the back, so adheres easily to the floor, and can be cut to fit, though I opted to keep the full length after I saw it. I love that you can just stick it to the shower wall to drain and dry, because the suction cups are that good. All in all, a great mat for the price.

The soles of my feet are quite sensitive. Some mats have been downright painful experiences to stand on. Not this one! I was worried by the looks of it but it's plenty comfortable and hasn't once caused pain. Suction cups are great, it's very secure. I pull it up after every shower and drape it over the curtain rod to dry, avoiding potential mold issues my area is at risk of. Months of use and it's in perfect condition still.

is is nice and big but for everyday bathroom use......tough the opening catches hair. Not easy to keep clean. I will get a full covered mat next time.

We hesitantly tried these... a pleasant surprise so don't be afraid of the style of this mat. Our older mats needed replaced, and we liked these better than the old mats.

After getting it for my guest bathroom, there was an odor I began to notice. I thought the smell was coming from my drains. I poured baking soda and vinegar down the drains. Still noticed the smell. It wasn’t until my son came home for a visit and discovered that the smell was actually coming from he bath mat. I was thrilled that he made the discovery for me. Needless to say we threw it in the trash and now the smell instantly disappeared!👎on this product!
