2024-07-10T00:00:00It did not come with an electrical cord, and the cord I ordered was a few inches short and it had to come out of the top of the unit, which took away from the length. Otherwise it is a great fan, low noise, (I didn't hear the fan when it was on the low setting, I thought I installed it incorrectly). The filter is easy to remove and clean, the fan works well, no more smoke...my smoke detector always alerted us when we cooked. Maybe I should say when I cooked. The bulb is easy to screw in, it looks great in our kitchen, it matches well with everything.

2023-08-26T00:00:00The Broan-Nutone 413004 range hood fits our needs perfectly. We bought this to replace an old undercabnet, hard-wired, fluorescent bulb unit that was probably installed in the 1970's. Since we only do a modest amount of cooking on the range top there is no need for a fancy vent hood with a lot of fancy bells and whistles. We just need something that will vent the water vapor/steam and cooking smells and this basic, affordable unit does it all. It offers a 2-speed fan, which is super quiet, and a light as well. Once I prepared the underside of the cabinet to receive the unit, the actual installation took less than 30 minutes, including the wiring connections. This is a well-built and sturdy unit, looks great, and will likely serve our cooking needs for a long time. Well worth the price and I highly recommend.

I did buy a kit to turn it into a plug-in because it is a hard wired unit, but that was really easy to do and it probably took me 30 minutes total to convert and hang by myself.
