2020-07-05T00:00:00I've had this about 3 months now. It was a replacement for my old vacuum sealer, one of those that vacuums the air out of the bag and then seals it. I have had several of those and most work okay at best and don't seem to last very long. Usually breaking at the beginning of a job instead of waiting till the last bag or when I am just using it for a few things. To avoid that frustration the price was worth it. -

2022-05-22T00:00:00Thought this would vacuum seal better than my Food Saver. Has issues with getting the all air out of the bag at max vacuum output. It works well for the Mylar bags but again it doesn't evacuate the chamber enough to get a good vacuum on the bag. -

2017-10-05T00:00:00First off, I bought this item but after several weeks of use, decided the vacuum chamber was too small for what I needed to do. For the typical home user, this thing would be perfect. Not a lightweight by any means, I could still carry it by myself if needed. Construction is almost perfect, the vacuum chamber is seamless stainless steel that makes for an easy cleanup. It has a nifty marinade function that works very well for the time you specify. And regardless of what instructions or internet information you might see, the ribbed, Foodsaver bags WILL work with this machine.

I also enjoy the fact that this provides me the ability to buy non-conforming size vacuum bags and create vacuum bags of my own size for a lot cheaper than buying the ready-made bags.
