2022-11-12T00:00:00UPDATE - although I adore this coffee maker, it is literally impossible to find a replacement carafe to go with it. Hamilton Beach website has been out of stock for months, and I have googled my brains out but there are no part 990241400 carafes anywhere, and no parts for this model 46200. Not even ebay has it! What gives? It's the perfect coffee pot, why not provide replacement carafes so I don't have to buy a whole new coffee maker? I am so bummed. -

2024-06-09T00:00:00This replaced an older Cuisinart coffee maker that had more features, many of which I never used. I wanted something simpler to operate and less expensive and this was a good choice. It's easy to use and makes a good pot of coffee. I'm not crazy about the hinged carafe lid that's fixed in place. It makes cleaning the carafe rather awkward. The coffee maker is quite lightweight and could easily slide off the countertop when removing the carafe quickly. Holding it down with one hand can prevent that, but a potholder should be used since the top gets hot.

2022-04-19T00:00:00The compact size works perfectly in our small temporary living situation and it’s easy to use. It has the ability to easily set the brew time so my coffee is ready when I awake. It also has a selection for bold coffee which I appreciate. That function slows the speed taking longer to brew. This pot does not make hot coffee- I’d say it’s very warm and I have to heat it up in microwave which I dislike. I kept as I will only be using for a year and have limited space. It’s ok if you don’t want piping hot coffee and need a smaller sized appliance.
