2024-04-27T00:00:00It is sturdy enough in spite of the rather flimsy individual pieces. There are metal rods that provide support to the sides and top. It is strong enough to sit on. Instructions were minimal (could have more clarity in certain steps). I am a little skeptical it will be WATERPROOF as advertised. There is a gap between the back side & the top the way mthe lid hinges but it does overhang some. (That side will be towards the house so may be ok.) Color is as depicted.

2022-07-03T00:00:00We have chairs on our back deck that we love, but the cushions get trashed by birds and debris from trees. This chest now makes it a snap to stow the cushions right next to our chairs. It also acts as a sort of side board for snacks and magazines. The lid is heavy and seals well to keep out weather while the pneumatic lifts make it easy to open and close. We are very happy with it! My only advice is to follow the assembly instructions very carefully! Correct assembly is NOT obvious and you will want to have a rubber mallet handy to snap the panels in place.

2023-03-12T00:00:00This was a nightmare to assemble. The pieces don't fit together and there are even instructions to hammer plastic which ended how you would expect. It is not sturdy at all and not waterproof as there are large gaps in the pieces (because they don't fit).

2024-03-20T00:00:00We needed a box on our patio to get rid of the clutter and get some things out of the garage. The size of this box really matches what we needed. There were no major issues putting it together, it took me about an hour from opening the box to complete it. Toughest part was attaching the hinges to the box after already attaching them to the lid. To do it right you need to hold everything at a slight angle but by that point in the construction the box is pretty heavy and it is impossible to do without propping things up so they meet at the right angle (that's what I did with a couple of medium size rocks). Once completed it seems very sturdy. But don't expect that putting a lock on the flimsy latch will keep anyone out. If all you're doing is storing inexpensive things in them like us you should be fine. The resin material it is made out of seems tough if not overly thick but it looks like after several years of intense sun it will likely fade.
