2022-04-10T00:00:00According to my Amazon download history, the 2019 version of HRB Premium was the last to indicate compatibility with Win7. Given the "no refund" policy, I knew that I was rolling the dice but it worked last year so I figured I give it a try again this year. I just downloaded the 2021 version onto an HP EliteBook 8470w with Win7Pro (64-bit) w/ SP1 and IE-11 (11.0.96)....not sure if IE is needed but just providing the details as an FYI. The download installed and opened without issue. Once open, it prompted to search for an update, which also installed without issue. I'm at the W-2 entry and it seems to be OK so far. If any issues, I'll post an update. -

2022-01-11T00:00:00We have used H&R Block software for our tax preparation for decades. It has been very dependable and we have never had a problem with installation, importing the prior year information, or anything. We have just installed the 2022 TY version on our Windows 10 machine, where the download and installation went very smoothly. We have a small business, so the Premium version is right for our purposes, providing the small business support and features that we need as well. Overall, we are quite pleased and will continue to purchase H&R Block software over the others that are available.

2021-12-29T00:00:00This software is very good but not perfect. In several slightly more complicated situations, it simply refers you to government tax forms and instructions, which may may leave you scratching your head. In fairness, though, I have never tried using on-line support. Most functions - including downloading tax information from financial institutions and the actual filing process - have worked well. The pricing is much better than TurboTax.

2022-08-14T00:00:00This is the best price for a downloadable tax program I have found. The interface has not changed much from year to year so the learning curve is lower. I like being able to import or enter data as I receive it and then go back to the guided questions.

2022-03-03T00:00:00This program did not work. I have used H&R Block's tax program for approximately 18 years and have been able to navigate various glitches in the program. This year, however, I ran into two issues that the program could not resolve and therefore, would not let me proceed to file. First, the program did not recognize my date of birth, although it was correct and in the correct format requested by the program. Second, the program did not recognize that I had completed a required form. Instead, the program repeatedly sent me back to fill out the form, but never indicated what information was missing (none was missing).

2022-10-13T00:00:00I used this to calculate the Families Taxes. The only thing I disliked was I had to pay for the extension to file eventhough I the S/W comes with free filing.
