2024-04-23T00:00:00Works perfectly with enough power to send water to top level of a 3 tier bird bath. Works with direct sunlight and no battery reserve, but that's exactly what I wanted. If you want more control of flow, etc., then you need to get a different pump. This one only works with direct sunlight, but that's what I needed. -

2023-09-05T00:00:00The media could not be loaded. I made a little bird bath fountain in the back yard, using a large cheap plastic planter and river rock. Other than this pump, noting else was needed. (I did have to plug the planter drain using silicone sealant / adhesive.) The little 6w version I have worked immediately when the solar panel was connected. (Note: Pump must be underwater before connecting to panel. You risk damaging the pump otherwise.) -

2024-11-16T00:00:00I really enjoyed this fountain with pump for the first 5 months but then it quit working. It was a hit with birds and my honey bees. I cleaned it with warm, soapy water and it worked the rest of that day but the next morning when the sun was directly on the solar panel, it wouldn't work at all. The red and blue LED lights just keep flashing. I will try getting in touch with the manufacturer as I see in other reviews they have been good on their warranty. -

2023-07-20T00:00:00I placed this in a deep blue birdbath which sits in what I call my Bird Food Court right outside my study window. The fountain works beautifully when the sun is fully on the panel and even keeps burbling when the sun is diminished by clouds or trees. I learn right away that I need to check and clean the little spongy filter, especially in late spring, early summer when the pollen went crazy here. But holding it under a strong stream of water took care of most of the gunk and the fountain returns to full strength. I live surrounded by trees so I didn't have much luck where I first placed the solar panel. But then I figured out to mount it on a hollow pole I found in the garage which puts it up about 4 feet to catch more sun. Perfect! I tried all the nozzles, but only use the extender and the flare shaped nozzle which mostly creates a 3 to 4 inch burble. Recently the fountain has been reaching more than a foot which I think might be caused by something narrowing the opening or the sun is at just the right angle to get maximum power. The only drawback to this is I have to make sure to keep the water topped up. -

2023-10-01T00:00:00This little pump just keeps on working. I have it in a cement pedestal birdbath and all day long I get a water fountain of varying degrees depending on how much direct sunlight the solar panel is in. I could move it around but instead I just leave it alone and sometimes the pump is squirting water 10 inches into the air and other times much less, sometimes it seems to pulsate. The birds are use to it now and I see them on the edge of the birdbath even when the fountain is pumping the water 10 inches high. It's always moving some water, even when the panel is not in the best position. For the price, prompt delivery and quality, just buy it. -

2023-08-08T00:00:00Initial feelings are very positive. The solar powered pump has been working for about three weeks. The panel even gathers enough light when it’s cloudy to pump a small stream of water. I use these in the birdbath I made from a vinyl pot plant dish. I don't use any of the added nozzles because the shoot the water out of the birdbath. I’ve included four photos: Full Sun (You can see the height of the water,) two Partial Shade photos (The stream will decrease as the light diminishes. Eventually it will just spurt until there is not enough light). And I added one closeup of the way I mounted the panel on a garden stake above our Plumbagos.
